Just yesterday a foot drill practice was held to train our AJKs to march. They have improved a lot, but there's still much to learn!

To our AJKs : Train hard! Foot drill is the essence of discipline! All of you had done a great job yesterday, so keep up the good work!

Appreciation and Installation Night

Dear Blog,

Sorry we've forgotten all about you for a while. We're all currently busy catching up with our studies and preparing the activities-to-come! Now, let me update you on our Appreciation and Installation Night held on 10th February 2012 at the MRC Miri Headquarter!

This fabulous night was successfully held thanks to the AJKs who started planning weeks before, and working hard the whole day to prepare. We owe them big time for their contribution and dedication to CHRC. I especially love the sight of them working together as a team and having great times together. It really is a fact that CHRC is one big family!

Of course, we never forget our most beloved members who came and supported us in this function. It was most delightful to see the members gathering together, talking, playing, having fun.. The numbers of attending members are quite satisfying, especially when our activity is held at night. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused by putting this activity on a school night, but for those who came, we are utmost pleased and hope that you will continue coming to our future activities (and bring your friends too!!).

 

Our activity kick off with a mini games session led by our informal MCs. Just by looking at these photos I know everyone can tell what a great time they had! All AJKs and members took part in the games and had enjoyed themselves very much.

 At about 7.30, the teachers-in-charge and our Top 10/2011 arrived and took their seats respectively. This is followed by three speeches given by our HSL/2012, Bryan Thien, HSL/2011, Lim Kheng Suan, and our most beloved head of teachers-in-charge, Pn Suriati. Next, the installation took place as the Top 10/2011 passed down files and badges to the Top 10/2012. At about 7.50 p.m., all members proceeded to the long table to grab their dinner. Food was absolutely delicious, homemade/cooked by our AJKs Masakan, who have been in the KH room cooking since morning, bearing the heat and enduring the weariness. >.<

While members were having their dinner, the programme continued on. Our BSMM mudas 2011/2012 put up an energizing performance - the camp dance of Chung Hua Camp 2011. This brought back many sweet and sour memories of the members who attended the camp. It was surely one of the memories I would like to keep for life! ^^

Lastly, we had lucky draw session led by the informal MCs once again. All teachers and some Top 10/2011 were invited up to shake the number box and pick a number. Prizes were then given out to the lucky members. It was quite sad that we weren't able to take part in this session, or else I'm quite sure that we will be taking all the gifts home in the end! XD But still, congratulations to all lucky members! Hope you like our unique and intriguing gifts!! And as the last number was drawn and the last prize given away, our Appreciation and Installation night has officially and successfully come to an end!!

Chinese New Year

Hey, members! It's a one-week school holiday, and a one-week celebration of CNY coming up for everyone! Do enjoy yourselves and make the most out of every visit to your friends and families! Remember to be extra careful while playing fireworks and take good care of your health. We hope to see happy members all around when school reopens ^^

Mini Orientation

Today's activity is our "Mini Orientation". This activity is organized mainly to register all the CHRC members of 2012. Through this activity, we have also successfully enhanced the relationship between members and our committees.

After the members gathered in the school hall, a brief introduction of the Top 10 / 2012 and the teachers-in-charge. Members were then asked to form into groups of 22 according to their liking. During the group activity, the personal information form and BSMM item list were distributed to everyone and were later passed up. During this session, some groups played games in order to help remember each others' names. Followed up was the slide show presentation, in which was a sneak peek of the activities that CHRC has organized the past few years. Finally, a short ice-breaking session was carried out before all members were dismissed.
